Marstrandsregattan 2011 is open for the CB66 class, which will sail for The Swedish Championship, The Dragon class and for Hobiecats. All classes are open for international sailors. The Dragon class and Hobiecat will sail on the Marstrand fjord and CB66 on the sailing arena south of Marstrand
Thursday was the first day of sailing. Robert Ohlson and Desirée Ernestad, Race officials, say the conditions were nearly perfect. The regatta includes three classes, Dragons, CB66 and Hobiecat. Dragon and Hobiecat course is located a bit futher out on the fjord. CB66 is just outside Strandverket, the castle by Marstrands seafront.
Friday continues with three race for Hobiecat as well as Dragons. CB66 has four races to sail. The weather conditions are great with windcapacity to approximatly 8 m/s.
Another important part of the regatta is the highly appreciated after sail, that holds everyday (regatta days) 5 pm at restaurant MAMAS just outside GKSS clubhouse. There you can meet sailors and crew, listen to storys from the sea and get to know one another.
